What is Network Insights?

Network Insights is our analytics and reporting solution, embedded in the Transporeon platform for carriers and logistics service providers. It consolidates your operational data into standardised views and exports, so teams across the business can work from the same, governed metrics.

Network Insights is built around three building blocks:

  • Ready-made dashboards
Standardized visualizations across Transport Assignment, Transport Execution, Time-Slot Management, Road Visibility and Carbon Emissions, focused on the questions carriers need to answer most often.

  • Governed data exports
Shipment and booking-level downloads with templates and, in the Pro version, scheduling options for regular reporting.

  • Self-managed access
Company administrators manage who can use Network Insights and which version (Standard or Pro) each user runs, directly within the solution itself.

FAQ

What is transportation analytics for carriers?

Transportation analytics helps carriers turn operational data into insights about freight opportunities, customer performance, service quality, capacity and costs. It allows teams to identify patterns across shippers, lanes and regions instead of making decisions from individual experiences. These insights can support pricing, planning, customer reviews and operational improvement.

What is Transporeon Network Insights for carriers?

Transporeon Network Insights is an analytics and reporting solution for carriers and logistics service providers. Embedded in the Transporeon platform, it consolidates transport assignment, execution, time-slot, road visibility and emissions data into standardised dashboards and governed exports. This gives teams one consistent source of metrics for operational and commercial decisions.

Who is Network Insights designed for?

Network Insights is designed for carriers and LSPs that use the Transporeon platform and want a clearer view of their operational performance. It supports transport managers, dispatchers, sales teams, key account managers, analysts and sustainability specialists. Different teams can use the same governed metrics while focusing on the dashboards relevant to their responsibilities.

What problems does Network Insights solve for carriers?

Carriers often build separate spreadsheets and reports for each shipper, making it difficult to compare performance consistently. Data definitions can differ between teams, reports require manual maintenance and insights may arrive too late to guide decisions. Network Insights replaces fragmented reporting with standardised dashboards and metrics drawn directly from the Transporeon platform.

What data can carriers analyse in Network Insights?

Carriers can analyse data relating to transport assignments, accepted transports, tender participation, spot offers, shipment execution, time-slot bookings, arrival punctuality, dwell time, tracking coverage and carbon emissions. Available information depends on the Transporeon products used and the data generated through the carrier’s platform activity.

How frequently is Network Insights data updated?

Network Insights refreshes carrier data daily from the Transporeon platform. This provides teams with a more current and consistent view than manually maintained reports that may be updated only weekly or monthly. Daily refreshes help carriers identify developing trends and operational issues before the next formal performance review.

How does Network Insights analyse shipper and lane performance?

Network Insights allows carriers to compare performance across shippers, lanes and regions. Metrics can cover response and acceptance patterns, on-time delivery, dwell time and visibility coverage. These comparisons help carriers identify strong-performing relationships, recurring service issues and lanes where pricing, capacity or execution processes may need attention.

How does Network Insights support freight and offer analysis?

Network Insights shows how a carrier’s tenders and offers perform over different periods. Teams can review participation, acceptance and rejection patterns across shippers and lanes, including contracted and spot activity. This helps carriers understand where they win freight, where offers are less successful and where pricing or participation strategies may need to change.

How does Network Insights help reduce driver waiting time?

Network Insights analyses time-slot bookings, arrival punctuality, booking adherence and dwell time at shipper or retailer sites. Carriers can use this information to identify locations or periods associated with recurring delays. The data can support better journey planning and fact-based discussions with customers about slot rules, yard processes and waiting times.

How does Network Insights support visibility and emissions reporting?

Network Insights shows where transports have sufficient tracking coverage and where visibility data may be incomplete. It also provides an overview of available emissions data to support sustainability analysis and reporting. Carriers can use these insights to improve data coverage and communicate performance more consistently to customers.

Can Network Insights support customer reviews and rate negotiations?

Yes. Network Insights provides platform-backed metrics that carriers can use in quarterly business reviews, service reviews and commercial discussions. Data on acceptance, punctuality, dwell time, visibility and lane performance gives both parties a shared factual basis. Historical patterns can also support discussions about rates, service requirements, capacity and operational improvements.

What dashboards and data exports does Network Insights provide?

Network Insights provides ready-made dashboards across Transport Assignment, Transport Execution, Time-Slot Management, Road Visibility and Carbon Emissions. It also supports shipment- and booking-level data exports using standard templates. The Pro package adds broader export capabilities and scheduling options for recurring reports.

What is the difference between Network Insights Standard and Pro?

Network Insights Standard provides up to six dashboards, up to 25 standard metrics or visualisations and access to one year of historical data plus the ongoing month. Pro provides more than 12 dashboards, more than 50 metrics or visualisations and access to three years of historical data plus the ongoing year. Pro also includes report scheduling, data-download templates and dashboard-specific configurations.

How much does Network Insights cost for carriers?

The landing page lists Network Insights Standard at €5 per month and Network Insights Pro at €35 per month. Standard is intended for users who need essential dashboards and recent data, while Pro supports deeper historical analysis, scheduled reporting and additional configurations. Current pricing and applicable commercial conditions should be confirmed when activating the service.

How can a carrier activate Network Insights and manage user access?

A company self-administrator can activate Network Insights through the Transporeon platform. After activation, the administrator uses the self-subscription module to add users, manage subscriptions and assign either a Standard or Pro service plan. If the company does not have a user with self-administrator rights, it must request the required permissions through customer support.
