Transporeon launches new transport planning capabilities

New transport planning solution and next-gen procurement, execution and yard management tools mark the next step in delivering a fully integrated, modular TMS for the AI age

Ulm, Germany – 25 September 2025 – Transporeon, a Trimble Company, today announced the launch of its new Transport Planner tool, which delivers optimal transport plans with speed and efficiency at a fraction of the cost of traditional systems. In addition, the combination of new tools and features available on the Transporeon platform now enable a modular Transport Management System (TMS), giving shippers and carriers a fully-integrated solution for smarter, more agile logistics. The company also introduced next-generation tools for its Freight Marketplace, Dock & Yard Management and Execution & Visibility solutions.

"The logistics landscape demands solutions that are intelligent and increasingly interconnected,” said Jonah McIntire, chief product and technology officer, transportation & logistics at Trimble. “Our latest innovations deliver a truly agile TMS, built for the AI age. By seamlessly integrating planning, network execution and enhanced real-time visibility, we give our customers unprecedented control throughout their entire transportation cycle.”

The TMS for the AI age
Transporeon’s new planning capabilities and AI-powered advancements address critical logistics challenges across three key solution areas. This builds on what Transporeon already offers by making AI fundamental to its new TMS offering to deliver tangible results – such as a reduction in administrative effort and an improvement in warehouse productivity. For example, one customer reported a 20% increase in loading capacity by using the Time Slot Management solution and another customer decreased the number of queries on order status by 40% with Transporeon Visibility

The Transporeon TMS leverages AI in practical ways throughout the entire transportation journey. This includes the option to fully automate the workflows for spot procurement and quotation, AI-enabled carrier vetting and onboarding, and predictive recommendations for lane rates as well as dynamic forecasts of exact arrival and departure times. It empowers businesses to manage their entire transport operations with unprecedented agility, efficiency and intelligence.

Three Integrated Solutions for Modern Logistics

Transporeon's new planning capabilities and AI-powered advancements address critical logistics challenges across three key solution areas:

  • Execution & Visibility:
The new Transport Planner tool delivers optimal transport plans with speed and efficiency at a fraction of the cost of complex systems.

Used for assigning transports, the Transport Assignment solution now also integrates “Autonomous Procurement” and “Autonomous Quotation” features, allowing users to manage and automate the entire process of quoting, negotiating and assigning spot shipments from a single entry point, which streamlines operations for both shippers and carriers.

The “Transporeon Visibility” solution has been updated with advanced tracking features for both ocean (demurrage and detention management) and air freight. This ensures complete, real-time oversight of shipments from origin to destination.
  • Freight Marketplace:
The next-gen Freight Procurement tool within Freight Marketplace leverages data science and AI to facilitate smarter decision-making for both shippers and carriers. Freight Marketplace now also offers enhanced multi-lane RFQ capabilities for strategic tendering and leverages precise data from the “Market Insight” solution.

  • Dock & Yard Management:
The next-gen Time Slot Management tool optimises yard flow with a single access point for carriers. The new “Yard Pre-Check-In” tool together with the “Digital Transport Documents” tool now enable fully automated and paperless truck processing.

These capabilities support Transporeon's AI-driven, modular TMS, designed for unparalleled flexibility and cost-efficiency.

"Transporeon’s TMS enables our customers to easily adapt the system to their needs, increasing agility and lowering costs,” said Philipp Pfister, sector vice president, Transporeon. “This marks a milestone in our journey: we’ve established the foundation and now we’re unlocking the platform’s full potential with enhanced AI-driven capabilities that deliver real impact. The value isn’t just in our advanced, adaptable tools, but in the exponential benefits our customers gain from connecting to a single, vast network of shippers, carriers and forwarders. We empower our customers, and in doing so, our entire network grows stronger.”

To move goods with confidence, logistics operations need to enable agility and collaboration. From the beginning, Transporeon’s platform provides a unique approach by enabling:

  • Managed network for instant connectivity and unique data: Access one of the industry's largest networks of 158,000 carriers, 1,400 shippers and retailers, bypassing costly and time-consuming individual integrations.
  • Modular design: Pick and choose single or multiple solutions or use the full TMS functionality.
  • Open and interoperable architecture: Seamless integration with third-party systems or Transporeon’s complete solution suite.
  • Usage-based pricing: Flexible model removes excessive licensing fees—businesses only pay for what they use.

NEXT: All innovations at a glance
The new AI-powered TMS offering and next-gen solutions are being introduced at NEXT, Transporeon’s product innovation event at the Transporeon Summit in Amsterdam on 24/25 September 2025.

The new Transport Planner tool is now available and new functions are being added on an ongoing basis throughout the next year. The next-gen Freight Procurement and next-gen Time Slot Management tools are currently in a beta phase that is planned to run until the first quarter of 2026.
