Many shippers and Carriers rely on RTV offerings from Transporeon Visibility Hub and Logit One because they are great at aggregating telematics, sensor-driven and third-party data. For companies who operate with subcontractors or rely on other companies to execute transports, this type of aggregation is the best and most accurate way to fill in visibility gaps that arise from having data outside your control.
There are however many carriers on our platform who operate their own fleets in their entirety and as such have access to the kinds of data which can help craft even more accurate ETAs. Nexogen is designed specifically for these operators to deliver them the next generation of ETA accuracy.
Delivering even greater ETA accuracy
Nexogen is an AI-based learning tool that analyses millions of possible combinations of trucks, drivers, routes and loads to provide optimal solutions for entire fleets. It takes into account the many sources of primary data available to dispatchers and planners to continuously take into account all the factors that could affect a transport, providing an ETA for every single planned task.
Driver/Truck data
When planning an itinerary, the Fleet Operatortakes information directly from the onboard computers and driver tacho to generate data on fuel usage, driving hours and live location, as well as all other information related to the driver and truck. With a deep understanding of EC561, this means we can take into account projected driver breaks & fuelling stops ahead of time.
Load data
Information regarding the value of the loads is also included in our calculations. If you have a high value load that requires secure parking for breaks, then we schedule into the itinerary the extra traveling distance to these places. If the goods have higher levels of compliance or safety when crossing borders, this is then also reflected in the final ETA.
External data
All of this is of course continuously updated to make sure in-transit deliveries are following the best route possible with updates to the ETA. We go a step further though in checking additional truck and driver information with these inputs. This means that you’ll know if the tyres of a vehicle starting in Italy need to be changed when entering the north of Finland. Or if a driver from France needs a special visa to enter the UK due to a lack of a local license.
Many operators find it hard to know when a truck will next be available following a delivery, and they find it even harder to predict the status of the driver. For this reason Nexogen was created to incorporate as much data as possible when it comes to creating and planning itineraries for huge fleets.
