Using SupplyStack and the Transporeon Transportation Management Platform for multimodal planning and execution
SupplyStack has joined the Transporeon Transportation Management Platform, making their extensive multimodal planning and execution solution available through a single and unified portal. This means that shippers and carriers in the world’s largest transportation network can now handle all their transportation modes at scale, regardless of complexity, while enjoying seamless integration with other platform modules.
SupplyStack are specialists in both automating multimodal scenarios and dealing with less-than-FTL shipments in order to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve customer experience. Through one interface they offer the capability to manage and monitor
Road, ocean, rail and air transport flows, as well as LTL, groupage and parcel shipments. This allows shippers and carriers to better manage incidents as well as understand not just where a shipment is but the status and next steps. Through their integration in the Transporeon Transportation Management Platform, these functionalities can further deepen multimodal planning, execution and visibility.
As part of the Transporeon Transportation Management Platform, multimodal planning and execution is now fully accessible as part of an ecosystem of complementary and digitized modules. By working together with other parts of the platform, like Transporeon Visibility Hub and Logit One, users of SupplyStack can enjoy further benefits.
Between shippers & retailers and carriers & forwarders, there has been a proliferation of different tools to help plan and monitor transports. This in turn creates a huge blind spot when it comes to visibility as between the stakeholders, there can be a significant shortfall in coverage when moving between modes. SupplyStack offers a single solution for all parties to manage and track transports over multiple modes, and integration with Transporeon helps unlock further benefits. For road transports, shippers can now execute spot tenders that extend to a pool of over 130,000 carriers through the Sixfold network. Once these transports have been assigned, they can also be tracked in real-time through Sixfold. For ocean legs, an integration with Logit One allows for the same ability to track in real-time and so react to delays as they happen, meaning total visibility across pre-, main and on-carriage shipping.
The Transporeon Transportation Management Platform has traditionally been a heavyweight for FTL transports, so the addition of the SupplyStack TMS is great news for companies with more complex transportation flows. Shippers can now manage shipments with over 50 stops and continue to track delivering on the article level from parcel providers. This support for parcel flows and last-mile deliveries will add extra layers of planning and execution across of modals.
