Transportation Pulse Report 2026

Smarter. Faster. Still Human.

The AI shift in transportation management

Get an insight into the state of AI usage in logistics right now and where it will go in the future. All this based on data, not hype.

As AI reshapes business, and society at large, how leaders respond in the next few years will determine their trajectory.

The Transportation Pulse Report 2026 explores the evolution of transportation management systems to incorporate generative and agentic AI and tackles real-world barriers like data readiness, trust and evolving skills, offering a clear roadmap for successful AI adoption.

Authored by industry expert Adrian Gonzalez, this report is based on over 230 responses from supply chain and logistics executives in the US and Europe. It reveals how logistics professionals are applying AI today, future expectations and why network-based transportation management systems (TMS) will be the most impacted by AI.

Contributions from shipper and carrier leaders at ArcelorMittal Steel, ASICS, Shell, Fercam, Hegelmann, partners like Rail-Flow and Peripass, among others, confirm that AI delivers the most value when it operates across connected partners and shared data within a connected ecosystem.
