Kingspan Group is a global leader in providing solutions for high-performance insulation and building envelopes for the new-build and refurbishment markets. Kingspan is committed to sustainability and its solutions actively help customers tackle climate change.
The Kingspan Group is always looking for opportunities to better serve its customers. The firm faced the challenge of transparency over its delivery process. Kingspan used the Sixfold transparency platform to add real-time value to its supply chains and enhance its reputation with customers.
The project was initially implemented in Hungary, Czech Republic and Poland for Kingspan’s CEER Division, which serves central, southern, eastern and northern European customers. The first five months of the project were deemed a success. Happy with the results, Kingspan has committed to a long-term project and will roll out the Sixfold platform additionally in Germany and Finland.
Kingspan’s cooperation with Sixfold is part of its strategy to be the top-ranked solution provider in the insulation industry. Kingspan wanted to:
The Sixfold predictive logistics platform is automatic and requires no manual intervention from carriers. More than 100 of Kingspan’s carriers were onboarded to the platform within the first month. A well set up governance structure between Sixfold, Kingspan and its transportation management platform provider, Transporeon, also made it easy to simultaneously roll out in three countries.
The Sixfold platform provided Kingspan with fully automated real-time transportation information and status updates. The platform is used not only by dispatchers and transport planners but departments across the whole company, such sales, management, customer service and supply chain management.
Using the latest real-time transportation visibility technology, Kingspan was able to improve its customer service level by providing its end customers with a tracking link of shipments, lowering the number of driver check calls.
Kingspan is also able to make use of both the tracking and analytical information provided by the Sixfold, pulling reports and using them for communication with carriers to better serve its customers
In the first five months, 8,000 transports were tracked via the Sixfold platform. The aim is to track more than 50,000 transports in a year.
Carrier onboarding has a good allocation rate of more than 75 per cent. There are currently 200 carriers connected. Expanding the service to new countries will see Kingspan connecting with more than 500 carriers.
Kingspan recognizes how fast Sixfold is adapting to market needs, with the release of new features, and sees the value of utilizing real-time visibility to improve operations and customer relations, enabling it to gain a competitive advantage in the market.
Like so many companies operating across regions, Kingspan aims to be even more proactive with customers by using the latest predictive real-time visibility technologies. Sixfold’s platform will play a vital role in meeting Kingspan strategic goals. We aim for improved transparency of the delivery process, providing added-value to customers.”
