Transporeon Summit 23 - 24 September 2020

The international event for logistics professionals

This year we will convene in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, at a unique and highly sustainable venue – the Floating Pavilion situated right on the water in the heart of the new city and surrounded by spectacular views. Our conference theme, Big Data & Sustainability – Driving Best-Practice Logistics, anticipates a digital journey highlighting challenges and opportunities while also enabling key steps towards future success. Our two-day agenda includes keynote speeches, panel discussions and open-space breakout sessions in our networking and innovation pavilion.

This Transporeon conference differs from other conferences: I found that its really specific towards innovation and you meet people with likeminded agendas.

Reference speaker at the Transporeon Summit

Special Guest: Richard van Hooijdonk

Trendwatcher, futurist and international keynote speaker Richard van Hooijdonk takes you to an inspiring future that will dramatically change the way we live, work and do business.

What does logistics look like in the world of automatic traffic flows? How do algorithms and the Internet of Things ensure a fully automated supply chain? And what is the impact of new production technologies like 3D printing?
The future of logistics and transport offers solutions to many of the challenges we face today.

Technology causes acceleration in transport and logistics. In the future, self-driving systems will drive through the city ‘like trains’, drones will control transport from the airport and we will all have
a self-driving car that effortlessly takes us from A to B. Logistics technology will have a significant impact on production chains and 3D printers will create unprecedented disruption in the supply chain.
Logistics and transportation are ready for these changes. Are you?

Keynote: Chris Irish

Head of Insight – Supply Chain at IGD

Chris joined the supply chain team in 2016. He leads the team responsible for developing supply chain insight, supporting businesses in building supply chain capability.

Chris spent eight years with Tesco, leading a number of diverse teams to deliver availability, waste and inventory objectives. In this time, he also worked on several cross-functional initiatives and helped develop and embed processes to simplify the way promotions are planned and executed across the business.
